Job Summary:
This position is responsible for providing high-level administrative and operational support to the Compliance, Risk and Legal (CRL) team. Under the direction of the Risk Manager and in partnership with members of the CRL team, the Contracts & Compliance Coordinator supports the end-to-end administration of CRL processes, including coordination of business licensing at the state and local levels, client and vendor contracting, support of legal matters, renewing vessel registrations in accordance with federal law, documentation control, and compliance follow-through.
The Contracts & Compliance Coordinator must be hands-on, proactive, capable of turning ambiguity into action, and succeed in a mission driven, team-oriented setting. The position requires that the individual in the role will have the ability to exercise good judgment in a variety of situations, with strong written and oral communication, administrative, and organizational skills, and the ability to maintain a realistic balance among multiple priorities. They will be able to work independently on projects, from conception to completion, and must be able to work under high demands and established timelines and handle a wide variety of activities and confidential matters with discretion.

Education:
- High School Diploma or GED
Experience:
- Two (2) years' experience in administrative support or in areas requiring similar skill sets.

- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products, particularly Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities:
- Responsible for managing applications for and timely renewal and maintenance of required business and contractor licensing at state and local levels.
- Support General Counsel with various legal matters, including but not limited to discovery and other document collection, claims, contract notices, disputes, and intellectual property protection.
- Support vendor and client contracting processes as needed.
- Manage annual vessel registrations and mandatory reporting to the U.S. Coast Guard and EPA via agency portals.
- Manage vendor insurance certificate compliance utilizing a third party program.
- Manage third party client portals such as ISNetworld and Avetta for compliance with client requirements.
- Maintain department records and files in an organized manner.
- Manage shipping and mailing for the department.
- Assist with coordination, scheduling and provision of department meetings, travel, expenses and activities.
- Support development of department policies and procedures.
- Support development of department training materials and presentations.
- Actively support and promote ongoing development of LEAN processes in all CRL related areas.
- Other duties as assigned.
Physical Demands Working Environment:
- Works in a general office environment and will sit/stand and work on a computer for extended periods of time.
- Occasionally required to stoop, bend, walk, crouch, and climb
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to speak, write, and understand English.
- 35-40 Hours per week; hours are flexible based on approved arrangements with Supervisor

Salary Range:
- $30 - $34 per hour
- Pay is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
