| Job Summary | The Coding Compliance Coordinator will perform data-quality reviews on patient records to ensure compliance with coding guidelines. The primary responsibilities will include serving as a coding liaison to staff and external personnel; providing training and in-services to coders regarding guidelines, compliance issues and policy changes; performing claim reviews; developing and maintaining policies and procedures; evaluating incomplete or inconsistent documentation in the medical record; and ensuring patient confidentially. |
| Skills / Knowledge / Abilities | The ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy; have excellent communication and listening skills; have knowledge of compliance and confidentiality and be proficient in Microsoft Office. |

| Preferred Education/Experience | Employment experience in coding preferred. Experience with ICD-CM & CPT-4 coding, DRG & APC knowledge, Epic, and 3M highly preferred. |
